I don’t do this to often, I never typically read forwards let alone find one that I actually find inspirational but I couldn’t help but share this information. I have shared before about how much I love the power of water so you could understand why I would share this information with you today.

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

  1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water
  2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute
  3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
  4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours
  5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.
  6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/ reduce main diseases:

  1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)
  2. Gastric (10 days)
  3. Diabetes (30 days)
  4. Constipation (10 days)
  5. Cancer (180 days)
  6. TB (90 days)
  7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times. It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active. This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals …not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain…

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this “sludge” reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks: · Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.. Let’s be careful and be aware.. The more we know, the better chance we could survive…

Your 2010 Handbook – Insights for 2010!

Yes, I know that 2010 is already well under way but it is never too late to start making some changes to better our lives. Here are some tips and goals to reach for as we continue out the year.

Health:

1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2009.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily, and while you walk, smile.

Personality:

11. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don’t overdo it. Keep your limits.
14. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don’t have to win every argument, agree to disagree.

Society:

25. Talk to your family often, spend time with them. 
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your concern.
31. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick.  Your friends will.  Stay in touch.

Life:

32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. God heals everything. The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you. 
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come.
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank God for it.
39. Be positive. Be happy. Spread joy. Inspire yourself and others. Live with gratitude.

I wan to give my honest first impression of the drink. When I mixed it I used my re-usable water bottle that I have with me all the time for water. I just added this mix to it and had it on the go. At first I thought it was very strong. Strong with flavor, and a vitaminy taste. And then I couldn’t get the taste out of the bottle for like a week, even after washing it every day.

How did I solve my problems:

I used half of the mixture for recommended serving instead of the whole mixture. I have been drinking water so much lately that I end up diluting everything so this could just be a problem with me. But it really worked out nice because then I got to have 2 drinks worth out of one serving. Also, although I am not a fan of purchasing bottled water, I got a 6 pack of bottled water and used those instead of my own water bottle so the taste didn’t linger longer then I desired.

Overall I recommend it for anyone who is pregnant or nursing and does not like to take pills and/or looking for good motivation to help you stay hydrated.

Wear Red Day

I’d like to invite you to support National Wear Red Day.

You may not know this, but the number one killer of women is heart disease. And ever y year more than 460,000 women die from this largely preventable disease.

National Wear Red Day is a day to recognize the women who have died from this disease, to build awareness of the statistics, and to encourage all women to make a choice to beat heart disease. Why Drink Water

When I was pregnant I think I heard something about drinking water at each and every visit to my midwife. I started to drink over 64oz of water daily by my 2nd trimester. Why? Mainly because I wanted to see the results of my pee stick test show great levels of water intake. Probably not the best of reasons but who cares … I was drinking water. Needless to say, once my baby was born … my water consumption went down, a lot.

We all know we should drink lots of water everyday. We hear it so often … “8 or more glasses a day” … “you have to stay hydrated.” Okay Okay … but why? Really, what are the benefits to drinking water? What will happen if I don’t drink water? How can my life be improved by drinking water?

I know I need to start drinking more water again but I now I am curious. I wanted to find out the answer to those questions so I started my Internet scavenger hunt on water benefits. Here are some of the basic reasons. Enough for me to be an avid water drinker. Thanks to the Dumb Little Man.

Weight loss. Water is one of the best tools for weight loss, first of all because it often replaces high-calorie drinks like soda and juice and alcohol with a drink that doesn’t have any calories. But it’s also a great appetite suppressant, and often when we think we’re hungry, we’re actually just thirsty. Water has no fat, no calories, no carbs, no sugar. Drink plenty to help your weight-loss regimen.

Heart healthy. Drinking a good amount of water could lower your risks of a heart attack. A six-year study published in the May 1, 2002 American Journal of Epidemiology found that those who drink more than 5 glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to die from a heart attack during the study period than those who drank less than two glasses.

Energy. Being dehydrated can sap your energy and make you feel tired — even mild dehydration of as little as 1 or 2 percent of your body weight. If you’re thirsty, you’re already dehydrated — and this can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms.

Headache cure. Another symptom of dehydration is headaches. In fact, often when we have headaches it’s simply a matter of not drinking enough water. There are lots of other causes of headaches of course, but dehydration is a common one.

Healthy skin. Drinking water can clear up your skin and people often report a healthy glow after drinking water. It won’t happen overnight, of course, but just a week of drinking a healthy amount of water can have good effects on your skin.

Digestive problems. Our digestive systems need a good amount of water to digest food properly. Often water can help cure stomach acid problems, and water along with fiber can cure constipation (often a result of dehydration).

Cleansing. Water is used by the body to help flush out toxins and waste products from the body.

Cancer risk. Related to the digestive system item above, drinking a healthy amount of water has also been found to reduce the risk of colon cancer by 45%. Drinking lots of water can also reduce the risk of bladder cancer by 50% and potentially reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Better exercise. Being dehydrated can severely hamper your athletic activities, slowing you down and making it harder to lift weights. Exercise requires additional water, so be sure to hydrate before, during and after exercise.

Yeah, I think I am sold. Going to get me a glass right now.

My Wii Fit Plus Experience

Since my husband and I are everyday gamers we were one of the first people to get Wii Fit Plus on its launch date. And I am going to waste no time and just jump right into my review of the game.

I think it is AWESOME!

We had the first Wii Fit and I was a pretty regular user of the game. For months it was my good friend and partner throughout my pregnancy, up until I was placed on full bed rest and could no longer exercise (dark times). So I was already familiar with the layout and concept behind the Wii Fit games.

With WFP, they only enhanced and improved the game. Nothing was taken out, just more goodies added on. Now with WFP you can track more of your progress with its Calorie tracker, waist and steps log and more.

My favorite feature has to be the Wii Fit Plus Routines that are found in the new My Wii Fit locker room. These routines are designed to help you improve in specific areas, by combining activities within Wii Fit Plus centered around a certain fitness need. Divided up into four categories—Lifestyle, Health, Youth, and Form—you’ll find tailored routines for everything from warming up to working your legs and hips. You can even combine multiple focus areas for an extended workout created by you!

Now you can imagine how excited I was when my good friend @modernmami sent me an email inviting me to a Wii Fit Plus Yoga party she was hosting. There was no way I could turn that party down. As the date approached she also informed me that there were still some open spots and I could invite some more people, so I brought along with me my mom and my cousin.

Five great Nintendo employees came out and set up a sweet room with over 10 Wii’s all set up for us to demo the new Wii Fit Plus game. The morning started with snacks and a welcome from the instructor. Next, after a quick tutorial of the game we all got a chance to try out a pre-set routine of some of the basic yoga posses. Then we had a quick lunch, followed by some free time to try out the new Training Plus section. The highlight of the morning had to be when the instructor returned to thank us for coming to their demo. She referred to it as her ‘Oprah’ moment because all of her assistants came out of the back room with Wii Fit Plus bundles for all of the guests along with a Wii Fit Plus jacket. I was shocked and surprised and super grateful. Even though I already have the game, this will make for one very happy family member this Christmas.

The All Natural Belly Bar

I was given a coupon to try out the All Natural Belly Bar which is the perfect supplementary nutrient food for pregnant and nursing women because this snack bar is packed with nutrients which may be lacking in the pregnant mama’s diet. I purchased a pack of their Baby Needs Chocolate flavor and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed each and every bar. I was half expecting the vitaminy grainy taste that you get with some nutritious bars, but this bar isn’t like that.

 Their research suggests that if you eat a healthy diet, one Bellybar daily will provide the supplemental nutrients needed for normal pregnancies so there would be no need to take prenatal vitiamins also. However this would be a costly alternative. While they are delicious and nutricious they aren’t the cheapest. You can find them at your local Walgreens, Targets and Babies R Us (just to name a few stores).

I do recommend to everyone that they try them out. I enjoyed them and will probably be going back for more soon.
