My Christmas Craft

The church I attend has a wonderful Mom’s of Faith group that meets every other week for breakfast, fellowship, devotion time and crafts. Becky, the leader of the ministry is such a wonderful and creative women. She has come up with some awesome, and useful craft projects for us to do while we meet.

This last project we did had to do with the holiday season. She had noticed that many families, even Christians do not spend the time and really reflect on the Christmas story. We are all so busy with the holiday rush, the presents, the tree, the lights the meals that we forget to make time to sit together as a family to talk about the meaning for the season.

So she found simple and quick version of the story, one that can be easily assembled and decorated. She just printed out the sheets, provided the construction paper and other supplies and we all had fun. Here is my creation.

See, nothing fancy, just a little ribbon and some glitter. But we will have many years of good story time with it each Christmas. I purposely left the pages blank so my son soon can color them when he is old enough. That way he can be part of the craft project also.

What a great way to remind us all of the “reason for the season”!
